Abu Sayeed Chowdhury (1943–2015) was a prominent Bangladeshi scientist and academic who made significant contributions to the field of nuclear physics. He was a professor at the University of Dhaka and played a key role in establishing Bangladesh's nuclear research programs. Chowdhury's work in nuclear physics and his efforts in promoting scientific education in Bangladesh earned him international recognition. He was also a recipient of the Bangladesh National Award for Science and Technology.
